How It Works
Funding & Contracting Model
ESD #2 is a special district authorized under Texas law to collect property tax revenue and use those funds to ensure local fire protection services are available where municipal departments do not operate. It does not operate its own fire apparatus or crews but instead contracts with the above volunteer departments to deliver the services listed.
