About Nacogdoches County Emergency Services District #2
Nacogdoches County Emergency Services District #2 (ESD #2) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas established to provide fire protection and emergency services to residents within its designated service area. Governed by a locally appointed Board of Emergency Services Commissioners, ESD #2 is committed to enhancing public safety through responsible oversight, strategic investment, and strong partnerships with volunteer fire departments and emergency responders.
The District’s primary mission is to support and improve emergency medical response capabilities by funding equipment, training, and operational needs that allow first responders to serve the community safely and effectively. ESD #2 works closely with its partner departments to ensure resources are allocated transparently and in alignment with both current demands and long-term community needs.

Volunteer Fire Departments of Nacogdoches County ESD #2
Nacogdoches County Emergency Services District #2 provides funding and support to the following volunteer fire departments, which collectively deliver fire protection and emergency response services throughout the district:
- Cushing Volunteer Fire Department
- Lilbert–Looneyville Volunteer Fire Department
- Sacul Volunteer Fire Department
These departments work in coordination with Nacogdoches County ESD #2 to ensure reliable, timely, and effective emergency services for the communities they serve.
